Head of Finance

Kenechi Onyia is a seasoned finance professional with over ten years’ experience in audit, financial management, internal controls, and risk management across multinational and regulated environments. He currently serves as Group Internal Auditor (Europe & Central Asia) at Intertek, where he provides strategic oversight of governance, controls, and risk management across multiple markets.

Previously, he held senior finance and audit roles at British American Tobacco (BAT), covering revenue management, investment appraisal, compliance, and enterprise risk management. His earlier experience includes roles at Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited and KPMG, as well as foundational training as a Financial Analyst at Penguin Assets Management Limited.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from the University of Lagos and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Lagos Business School, Pan‑Atlantic University. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

He brings strong financial discipline, governance expertise, and risk‑management capability to the business, supporting sustainable growth and long‑term financial stability.
